Duplicate Copy OK This drawing commemorates a dilemma. A collector came to art dealer Terry Moore asking if he could own a drawing identical to the one he’d seen in his shrink’s office during his sessions. This “forgery” idea posed ethical questions. Can an artist copy himself? Can he copy a work already in the collection of another person? After pondering the issue and getting the approval of the first collector, a duplicate was indeed made with a consciously typed spelling error. |
