Oak and Steel | H: 10/25 W: 115/292 D: 4/10 (in/cm)

This oak plank was cut and reassembled with a steel armature. It weighs approximately 87 lbs. It was the first piece that brought rubber stamp words from the St. Louis Post Dispatch copy room into sculpture. Up until this time, rubber stamps had been used in drawings. The message suggests to the viewer that this ordinary plank may not be so ordinary and that he may want to examine it a bit more.
