Keyed Venture Piece This Venture Piece was an important transition to the later Baltic Birch pieces. It explored the construction of “volume from surface” using a “cutout technique.” Wall hung Venture Pieces had become too programatic to produce because of their insistence on surface treatment and extension. Here, the work becomes volumetric and the inside, or expanded accordion surfaces, are painted a fluorescent orange to highlight the interior. |
